b'Process for a request for review by the Tribunal17Several conditions must be met to obtain a subpoena. These are explained inPractice Note #11 on witnesses and the procedure for obtaining a subpoena.REMEMBERWitness obligations:yprovide testimony on what they personally witnessed;ytake an oath or solemnly affirm that their testimony is true; andybe courteous to the other party, Tribunal members and staff.4.3Mandatory case management conference Case management conferences are mandatory in all cases where there is an oral hearing. This pre-hearing step allows the parties to discuss how the upcoming hearing will be conducted. In some cases, it allows the parties to engage in discussions that could leadto the resolution of the case.During the case management conference, the role of the presiding member is to:yguide parties through the process;yask the parties to raise any arguments or issues that might affect the conductof the proceeding; yask the parties to indicate the number of witnesses they wish to present; andyask the parties to submit evidence in advance of the hearing.The Tribunal asks the parties if they can agree on a joint hearing plan and a witness list.Following the mandatory case management conference, the Tribunal will issue an order confirming the terms and conditions for the case management and the conduct of the hearing.
